We get many requests here at BT Maps for British Telecom infrastructure maps, service areas, dialing code maps, etc. The map below is about as much as one is going to get but is not what anyone is really looking for. Apparently, British Telecom doesn't easily make available the data to create maps that people want.

Cartographically, it takes some getting used to the blue land and white ocean.

ArcGIS API for Silverlight

We added a simple example implementation of the ArcGIS API for Silverlight to the Services page. Navigation controls, layer controls, and a rendering progress bar are implemented. The layer data comes from ArcGIS online.

BT Maps received a recent request to create a visualization of the bathymetry in the Mediterranean near the Andalusia coast. We'll definitely take a look and see what can be done. Stand by for more updates.

Phoenix Islands Protected Area (PIPA) Seamount Fly-Through

This animation was created to accompany a Google Earth tour of Central Pacific Seamounts. The animation and tour are part of an overall Seamount research effort. The dissolving ocean helps the viewer visualize the "hidden" nature of seamounts.

All right! Making some good progress and learning a bunch. The header image should be aligned and the navigation is setup. Just a few more tweaks and the Blogger blog will be fully integrated with the main BT Maps website!

Currently working on getting the blog setup and integrated with the main site. Lots of tweaks to Blogger settings and the template. Stay tuned...
